Unfortunately I will not be able to attend the 55th reunion. I have eye surgery scheduled for that time frame. I will not be able to travel for several weeks. I will see you for the 60th reunion in 2024.

After high school I attended college for one year
I served six years in the US Navy
I was self-employed for several years
I attended three years of college
I worked for the University of California at Lawrence Livermore National Lab for thirty years. Spent 15 years designing, programming, and running computer based data acquisition systems. Spent 10 years desiging and installing computer networks. Spent the last 5 years as the Information Systems Security Officer for a classified DOE network.
In 2007 I retired
Since then I do pretty much whatever I feel like doing.

Now
July 24, 1946 Seattle WA US Retired Married 2
After high school I attended Washington State University and in 1968 graduated with a degree in Physics and an education in computer science.

I first worked at Boeing as a computer programmer.  With the foreseeable downturn in Boeing’s employment, I left in December 1968, married Sandi and joined the Air Force.  After three months of officer’s training, I spent a year in Selma, Alabama attending pilot training.  The next four years I was stationed at Travis AFB near Sacramento, California as a C-141 transport pilot and aircraft commander.  This assignment was mainly flying to Southeast Asia, but also included trips to Europe, Australia, India, Saudi Arabia.

With the end of the Vietnam War and no flying jobs, I returned to Boeing as a computer software engineer on the AWACS project.  In 1980 I moved a job working with the desktop microcomputers (this was before the IBM PC) doing software evaluations, application development and customer support.  My duties became focused primarily on the senior Boeing executives and their immediate staffs, first with Boeing Commercial and then World Headquarters in Seattle.

Since leaving the Air Force in 1974, Sandi and I have built a home and raised two daughters in West Seattle.  Our oldest is a wildlife biologist for the State of Idaho; and youngest is an accountant for a Seattle seafood company.

In October 2006 I retired from Boeing after 33 years.  Our retirement goals included volunteering with a variety of organizations and lots of travel.  We have been very fortunate to travel to New Zealand, Australia, Ecuador, Peru, the Caribbean, Scandinavia, and South Africa.  We have also had a variety of trips within the US and Canada.  Now, after the birth our first grandchild, we make many trips to Coeur d’Alene to visit our new bundle of joy.
