April 11, 1946 5097315826 3345 50th St Ct NW #1 Gig Harbor WA US 98335 Manager Senior Community Married 3
I have been married to Connie for 46 years. We have three married children and 8 grandchildren. It has been an exciting, fulfilling and filled 50 years since High School.
Following High School I graduated from a small seminary, Summit Pacific College in Vancouver, BC. I spent 45 years in ministry, pastoring various churches in Washington. My wife and I founded Valley Christian Center in 1986, and on it’s 25th Anniversary, turned it over to our son who is now the Pastor. I was a Police Chaplain for 15 years in Pierce County.

I served 8 years (two terms) as the elected Mayor of Bonney Lake, WA, as well functioning as the acting, hands-on Administrator of the City for 6 of those years (while still pastoring!). Following that time as an elected official, I graduated from UW Grad School (Dec, 2008), with a Masters of Public Administration.

I worked in Oregon as a City Administrator. Following that time, I came home and we converted our home in Bonney Lake, where we lived for 29 years, to an assisted living home and leased it out. We then moved to Yakima where I was going to work in City Administration. When that position was defunded, I  worked for the Yakima School District, as well as the City of Yakima Transit (as bus driver) for 18 months. From there we became employed by Holiday Retirement as Managers.
I am very interested in boating. I restored my first cabin cruiser, a 1961 27' Fairliner in 1988. I took 6 years to restore a 28' Carver Mariner, which now resides in my boathouse in Steilacoom. I love the water, & was a Red Cross sailing instructor for many years. I was a factory representative for Derema, Inc, covering all the boat yards from Olympia to Seattle, introducing new boat products to them for several years

I had an insurance license (25 years) and real estate license (3 years), have been a small business owner and we closed our property management business when we moved to Yakima. I am a State Certified Mediator, having worked as a volunteer for Pierce County Mediations, as well as doing Mobile Home Park dispute resolution mediations.

I was an EMT, getting my certification first in Glasgow, MT, in 1975, then again in Washington in 1980. I helped establish emergency medical "First Responder" programs in both Hinsdale, MT, and Hartline, WA. I taught WA State First Aid in north-central Washington for Big Bend Community college for 3 years, and was on a rural fire department for almost 5 years.

Connie and I are now managing "Peninsula Retirement" in Gig Harbor, WA, a Holiday Retirement community for independent senior living. We are now able to go to our boat on our days off, enjoying the Puget Sound.
